I was glad that Larissa and Matt were up for some fun, urban locations - those are always my favourites!! They were up for anything, too, which was great :)
Laura and Brahm seemed so comfortable in front of the camera.. I love it when couples get right into the session and really interact with each other like I'm not even there..
Michelle and Darren's one request for their engagement session was cherry blossoms.. We lucked out with a gorgeous day and the cherry blossoms (and whole bunch of other flowers!) were perfectly in bloom!
We had gorgeous weather today for Corinne and Bernie's engagement session and managed to just catch the tail end of fall. We also included Bernie's sons David and Joseph and their dog Phoebe in part of the session who I thought were all quite well-behaved!
Although we'd talked plenty via email and the telephone, I hadn't met Lara and Alyssa until this afternoon since they flew in just yesterday for their wedding this weekend. It was so great to finally meet them both and they were AWESOME to photograph! I especially love photographing people who smile a lot and they were definately 'smilers' :)
I also found out today that Alyssa is a photographer as well.. what an honour to be hired by another photographer for their wedding!!
Next summer, Kylie and Shawn are having a black, white and granny smith apple themed wedding! So when they asked if I would be willing to photograph their engagement session in an apple orchard I thought it was such a great idea!! I always love fun and different ideas like this, it's always great to try something new...
They also brought along their dog Bandit, who was such a smart little puppy with all the tricks he could do!
I'm so bad. I always have to rush home after every photo session because I'm always so excited to see how the photos turned out!! This evening was no exception - I had such a great time with these two, and they had such great chemistry that I was dying to see everything!..
Normally during the summer months I'm only able to schedule engagement/children's sessions during the weekdays but this and next weekend it was nice to have a chance to do it during the weekend.
Kate and Kenny were naturals for the camera, I loved that they were so spontaneous! Stay tuned for their wedding which is in just under a month.
It was so exciting to shoot at such a fun location today! Games, rides, typical fair junk food... What more could I have asked for? Maggie and Matthew got right into it and even had some cool ideas of their own!
I thought taking pictures while on the big coaster would be so neat, but after the first hill, taking photos was the last thing on my mind and all I could do was hang on for my life!! I did manage to sneak in a few more though, and it was well worth it!
